Egg-celent Easter ~ Part II

I left off with the second day of our trip and the start of our egg hunt.  The kids were so cute.  The filled their buckets fast then had to empty and reload.

Killian wore this awesome hat long enough for met to get some awesome pics of him in it.

Awesome, right?

After the egg hunt, the kids had fun with the slip 'n slide.

We even got to see real-life cowboys! ;)

This short vacation was amazing to me not only because I got to see the fam but because for two days, I did not look at my phone or my crackberry.

I'd never been to Midland ("Oil Country") before.  Every where you look, you either see an oil pump (We call 'em grasshoppers where I'm from) or these giant windmills.  It found it so interesting.

On Waylon's tour of Big Spring, he snapped some pics of the prairie dogs from the highway.  Seriously, you can see these cute things from your car as you are driving down the road.

And more of the scenery from my grandma's back porch...

Day three was the departure.  We snapped a few pics outside our hotel that had a cool indoor pool. The boys enjoyed that also.

Egg-celent Easter ~ Part I

We traveled by plane to Big Spring, TX (close to Odessa and Midland) for Easter.  It was the PERFECT weekend vacation.  We got to spend time with some of our favorite people.

Austin has already been on a plane so I was worried about how Jack would do.  Since he doesn't sit in my lap EVER, I was really nervous even though the flight was only 1 hour and 15 minutes.  He did great!

We went from this....

...to this in about 20 minutes into the flight.  Jack slept through the landing and Austin was asleep resting his head on my arm.

When we got to Big Spring, we were so excited to see my grandmother and her beau Larry, whose home is centered around kids.  The backyard is filled with tons of things for kids to do.  Needless to say, Austin was in heaven.  It didn't take long for him to settle in.

I was surrounded by family that I completely adore including my mom, grandmother, my sister Lendi, my aunt, cousins and their kiddos.

My cousin's kids are amazing as you can see.

Jack was also loving life being outside the entire weekend.

Granny and the water gun showdown.

This is my precious Grandmother and my precious baby.

At the end of our first day, the kids prepared for Easter by painting their Easter buckets and coloring eggs.

On Saturday, we were back outside for a full day of play.  These are just some of the pics from Larry's backyard.  It is awesome to sit out on the back porch and watch these beautiful animals.

My sister Lendi, her Beau Dusty and my nephew Jake arrived on Saturday.

Homemade snow cones!

I love this picture because of Killian's face.  Perfect.

Even more perfect.

I will post Part II with the egg hunt and the rest of our trip soon.
